¿POR QUE QUERÍA LLORAR? - ESPIRITU SANTO

WHATS UP MY GANG!! WHATS CRACKALACKIN!!

This week was excellent! Comp got sick so I basically called a huge amount of people in the house for two days, cleaned the house, and took care of Hermana Padilla. I WAS SOOO BORED, not gonna lie! I hate not being able to work. Don’t worry — the rest of the week made up for the two uneventful days. We had a lesson with OUR ANGEL Hermana Irma and put her on date to get baptized!

After that, we had a family home evening and talked about temples. There were actives, inactives, and a family that has never heard of the church before! I LOVE FAMILY HOME EVENINGS! We also ate mangos because we eat mangos every single day here, jaajaja! The Spirit was so strong and I feel everyone enjoyed it! We had it at an inactive’s house and she came up to me after and said, "Gracias por traer este PAZ y GOZO en mi hogar" — "thanks for bringing peace and joy into my house." Then she hugged me. Moments like this make every hard part of the mission so WORTH IT! Little does she know it wasn’t us that brought this peace and joy. It was the SPIRIT OF THE LORD. We are just his messengers.

Talking about the Holy Ghost, I had another amazing experience with one of our friends in our ward. Her name is VALE! She is 12 years old. I love the youth in our ward because they love to accompany us in lessons! Well, she accompanied us one day and we had a lesson with her and an inactive. We shared our message with the inactive and after, Vale asked us, "¿Por qué quería llorar en la lección?" — "Why did I want to cry in the lesson?" We told her that it was the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost has this effect and power to touch and soften anyone’s heart if we just accept it and let it. The Spirit even makes the manliest of men cry! Jaja! I am so grateful to have the GUIDANCE of the Spirit in my life. I actually don’t know where I would be without the Spirit by my side. I promise with all my heart that the GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST IS ONE OF THE BEST GIFTS THAT WE HAVE EVER BEEN GIVEN FROM GOD. What’s even cooler is that after baptism we have the Spirit with us FOREVER!

Also, to fill you guys in, I’m doing a 40-DAY FAST to be a better, consecrated missionary and I want to do all I can to help all my friends here at this moment! Which includes not being on social media for these 40 days so you know what that meanssssss... I won’t be responding to you guys in Messenger but don’t worry, I’ll send my weekly! Just wanted to let you all know so you don’t think that I’m dead and that I still love you, jaja!

SCRIPTUREEEEE (2 NEFI 33: 3-4):

3 But I, Nephi, have written what I have written, and I esteem it as of great worth, and especially unto my people. For I PRAY CONTINUALLY for them by day, and mine eyes water my pillow by night, because of them; and I cry unto my God in faith, and I know that he will hear my cry.

4 And I know that the Lord God will CONSECRATE my prayers for the GAIN OF MY PEOPLE. And the words which I have written in weakness will be made STRONG UNTO THEM; for it persuadeth them to do good; it maketh known unto them of their fathers; and it speaketh of JESUS, and persuadeth them to believe in him, and to endure to the end, which is LIFE ETERNAL.

ALWAYS KNOW I’M PRAYING FOR YOU GUYS AND ALWAYS RELY ON THE GIFT YOU HAVE, WHICH IS THE HOLY GHOST.

¡Holaaaaa! In my studies this week, I have been focusing on the people out in the field I get the opportunity to teach. Also, I leave for the field next week, and I’ve been here over a month (time slow down!). A scripture I read and that has stuck out to me is in Luke 15:4, and it says: "What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?" The last few years, I’ve had the desire to be a nurse or something like it. There is so much I can say, but through my CNA clinicals and working at an assisted living facility, I’ve seen people in pain, and it hurts to watch. It got me thinking about how our Savior feels that pain. He feels our pain, sorrows, and trials. That can't be easy, but it is also a blessing because He knows how we feel. So turn to Him in prayer, and He can bring you comfort. I know from experience because I pray A LOT that He is a GREAT LISTENE...

! EN LA TIERRA PROMETIDA !

¡Buenos días! ¿Cómo están? How is everyone doing? Here in Cacahoatán, a member, Hermano Marvin, has been teaching my compañera and me more about the history of the Book of Mormon, and let me tell you, it's FASCINATING! After our discussion, he asked me how I felt, and I said, "NO TENGO PALABRAS" - "I HAVE NO WORDS." First off, he showed us a map of the Book of Mormon lands, which are in the Mesoamericas. He says Hermana Huerta and I are extremely lucky because we are literally serving in "A PROMISED LAND" mentioned in the Book of Mormon! There are a few stones here, but one we specifically focused on is the IZAPA STONE (The Tree of Life). This stone includes many pictures and symbols from the scriptures! Ahh, I wish I could sit down and explain it all to you right now! I still need to do a lot more research, though. ¡NECESITA COCA!

Hola! OK, first off - RAMBUTAN (the BEST fruit in the WORLD)!! I tried it a week ago and fell in love! Sadly, rambutan is only grown here. Sorry. I also tried papaya and mangosteen, along with many other things. Papaya is alright, and mangosteen is also really good! They grow on so many trees! With that said, gullible Hermana Boden was trying to get some rambutan off a random tree (jumping as high as I could) when a lady spotted us! I was like, "oh no," because it could have been her tree. My companion and I looked at each other with concern... The lady said, "come here!... I have more inside." Phew. We got some fruit and were also able to give her a little lesson. So my gullibility led us to teach this lady! Pretty good! Hermana Boden also put her hair in a French braid, a pretty proud moment! (I'm not very good at hair).
