~ ¡OLA! MI LECCIÓN EXTRAORDINARIA ~

OLA DE LA COSTA! We went to the beach again today! This week was probably one of the CRAZIEST weeks I’ve had while being here in the mission, so it was nice to relax a bit in a hut in a hammock and listen to the waves! (RANDOM FACT: wave = ola in Spanish, the same as hola, only spelled differently.) I don’t know what it is about the waves of the ocean, but it always brings me so much peace and the presence of the Savior. Seriously feels like, in a way, He is saying "hola" to me through the olas of the ocean.

Long story short, basically, I got a new comp for these last few days, and we have been working TWO AREAS! Crazy, but it’s been fun and an adventure!

I’m also supposed to find out who is my NEW COMP TONIGHT!!!!

My buddy from my other area, Aeropuerto, ELISA, got baptized this week, and I got permission from the Presidente to watch it through Zoom! A little about her and her family is that her mom is a member who was inactive for many years. The family never let the missionaries in their house before—until US! Elisa is literally an ANGEL! She is 14 years old and was always giving us treats and bracelets! I am so PROUD and HAPPY for her and her decision to get baptized. Not only that, but I got to see some of the members from my past area, and oh, how much I have MISSED THEM! They kept saying I need to find me un muchacho from Mexico so I can return jajajajajaja!

I actually learned an EXTRAORDINARY LESSON this week. Last Monday, my parents told me my two dogs passed away. Both of them in the same week. It hit me hard. I went and cried in the shower like a normal person that heard that not one but two of their dogs died. Then after, feeling all bad for myself, I saw two girls crying at a table. I didn’t hesitate for a moment and went and hugged them and told them, "LES AMO"—"I LOVE YOU." But there was something different about this hug. I don’t know how, but I literally felt how much they were hurting. I didn’t know why they were crying. I didn’t ask. Then after, I felt selfish for crying and feeling bad for myself when there are other people hurting even more.

The next day, one of the girls that was crying told me that I was Jesus.
"¿Queeeeee? ¡No soy Jesucristo!"
She told me that when I came up to them and told them I loved them, it was everything they needed to hear. Just like Jesus would do.

Then I got thinking, like I always do...

Jesus Christ suffered every pain for us in Getsemaní and on the Cross and was WILLING and so LOVING to do it for us. He healed others and helped others no matter what their story or past was like. HE FELT EVERY HARD THING THAT WE HAVE BEEN THROUGH. He’s been through hard times, but that never stopped Him. When I hugged my friends, I forgot about my problems, and none of them mattered anymore. Only my friends. My friends were hurting, and I didn’t even know why, but I felt it, and it hurt my HEART. I’m not Jesus Christ, but I strive to be more like Him—who doesn’t worry about Himself but will literally do anything for others before He does anything for Himself and just comforts them.

Later in the week, we had a lesson with an hermana in teaching. We were teaching her how to pray. She was nervous, but we explained to her that she is praying to her friend, Heavenly Father. There’s no need to worry.
"Ok."
She started praying, and she started to cry and shared everything that was hurting her and that was in her heart. I’m not going to share what she said, but she’s been through a lot. I could tell she needed this moment. One of the most beautiful prayers I’ve heard. The fact that she felt so CLOSE to Heavenly Father and could express everything was absolutely amazing. Usually, people don’t have prayers so sincere like that so fast. I had NO WORDS. We hugged her after as she had tears running down her face and shared some love and words with her. THE SPIRIT WAS DEFINITELY THERE.

It was one of the craziest weeks of my life but also one of the most BEAUTIFUL. I literally witnessed so many miracles and have been feeling so close to OUR HEAVENLY FATHER. I know that He is always there for us and that Jesus Christ, OUR LOVING BROTHER, sacrificed His life for us and knows exactly how we feel. I love every chance I get to follow the example of Jesus Christ and help others as much as I can. Little do they know, I’m the one truly being BLESSED.

Also, I learned this week how important it is to show and express the love of Jesus Christ. Never forget to tell others how much YOU CARE and HOW MUCH YOU LOVE THEM. Also, you never know who is needing a HUG from YOU. My dad told me once that when I don’t know exactly what people are saying or what they have been through, "ALWAYS JUST LISTEN." Sometimes, that’s all they need—someone to listen and a hug. Explain that you and Heavenly Father are there for them. Jeje, my dad always gives the best ADVICE!

SCRIPTUREEEEEEE:

MORONI 18:8-9

"And it came to pass that he said unto them: Behold, here are the waters of Mormon (for thus were they CALLED) and now, as ye are DESIROUS to come into the fold of God, and to be called HIS PEOPLE, and are WILLING to bear one another’s burdens, that they may be LIGHT;

"Yea, and are willing to MOURN with those that mourn; yea, and COMFORT those that stand in need of comfort, and to stand as WITNESSES OF GOD at ALL TIMES and in ALL THINGS, and in ALL PLACES that ye may be in, even until death, that ye may be redeemed of God, and be numbered with those of the first resurrection, that ye may have eternal life."

I SURE LOVE YOU ALL, AND IF YOU NEED ANYTHING, SHOOT ME A TEXT! I’M SERIOUS, SHOOT ME A TEXT! AND ALWAYS KNOW THAT I AM PRAYING FOR YOU.

¡KEEP KILLING IT!

"LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH"

IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, AMEN
