¿Cómo están mis amigos? - How is everyone?

This week we had a mini exchange, so a different missionary came with me in my area for a day. My comp is the capa (hermana that is in charge of the hermanas in our zone). Almost all my comps have been capas, so basically, I'm going to be enjoying a whole bunch of mini exchanges again. I prayed that I could be patient and enjoy them, and the truth is I loved it this week! Jaja, the girl I had exchanges with is so cute! Before we went to bed, she went off about all her boy problems. Jaja, I just laughed. Not really something I want to focus on right now, but let it spill, chica, I got ya; I'mma sit here and listen, jaja. I'm not complaining though; la verdad, yo extraño mucho los chismes con mis amigas! Other things happened in the exchanges, but that is what I remember at this moment. CHISME! Jaja, I have problems! But really, the misioneras are amazing here!

Something I learned this week... actually today and the other day in a video, jeje! The truth is, it's something I've heard a lot, but it really nailed me this week, and that is that EVERY person needs the opportunity to HEAR about the GOSPEL. Even if they decline, which is quite often, to be honest, at least they have this message of our Savior and His gospel in thought. That's something a member told me in my last area: "Ahora tienen el mensaje y eso es lo importante. Para algunos, eso es todo lo que puede hacer."

I actually learned this from an Elder from my district (shoutout Elder Liffereth). This elder TALKS TO EVERYONE, and I mean everyone! He simply shares a message naturally, and ya, simple as that. Like we were in a combi, and he shared a scripture with the driver, or another time was when a drunk guy was asking me to give him money, and Elder Liffereth calmly shared that we are missionaries and our purpose as missionaries.

It got me thinking about how many people I have passed in the streets, and I didn’t SHARE my testimony or a message with them, or before the mission, all the many opportunities I had to share about my Savior, my Brother, and Friend JESUS CHRIST and I didn’t. I know for a fact some people out there needed or are needing this message. THE CHOSEN ONES. People waiting, hoping, and needing the gospel and love of Jesus Christ in their LIVES.

Soooo... my goal this week is to talk to as many people as I can. EVERY PERSON I CAN. Share my testimony and how this gospel has literally CHANGED my life. Who knows, my friends, maybe this could be the MOMENT AND TIME that someone else's life could change for the better.

I have a lit scripture for you in 2 Nefi 26:24-28:

24 He doeth not anything save it be for the benefit of the world; for he loveth the world, even that he layeth down his own life that he may draw all men unto him. Wherefore, he commandeth none that they shall not partake of his salvation.

25 Behold, doth he cry unto any, saying: Depart from me? Behold, I say unto you, Nay; but he saith: Come unto me ALL ye ends of the earth, buy milk and honey, without money and without price.

26 Behold, hath he commanded any that they should depart out of the synagogues, or out of the houses of worship? Behold, I say unto you, Nay.

27 Hath he commanded any that they should not partake of his salvation? Behold, I say unto you, Nay; but he hath given it FREE TO ALL MEN; and he hath commanded his people that they should PERSUADE ALL MEN TO REPENTANCE.

28 Behold, hath the Lord commanded any that they should not partake of his goodness? Behold, I say unto you, Nay; but ALL MEN ARE PRIVILEGED the one like unto the other, and none are forbidden.

This scripture literally teaches that ALL AND EVERYONE has a chance to come unto Christ. Be the one to invite ALL to come unto Christ, or maybe it is YOU that needs to come. Either way, I invite you to share a message, in person or in text, to someone or more people that you think need to hear this message about our Savior Jesus Christ. NO TENGA MIEDO, JUST SEND IT! FOR ALL NEED TO HEAR. You can change lives, amigos! Anyways, my pals and buddies, I leave you all with that invitation, en el nombre de Jesucristo, amén.

Oveja - Buscando Al Indicado

¡Holaaaaa! In my studies this week, I have been focusing on the people out in the field I get the opportunity to teach. Also, I leave for the field next week, and I’ve been here over a month (time slow down!). A scripture I read and that has stuck out to me is in Luke 15:4, and it says: "What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?" The last few years, I’ve had the desire to be a nurse or something like it. There is so much I can say, but through my CNA clinicals and working at an assisted living facility, I’ve seen people in pain, and it hurts to watch. It got me thinking about how our Savior feels that pain. He feels our pain, sorrows, and trials. That can't be easy, but it is also a blessing because He knows how we feel. So turn to Him in prayer, and He can bring you comfort. I know from experience because I pray A LOT that He is a GREAT LISTENE...

! EN LA TIERRA PROMETIDA !

¡Buenos días! ¿Cómo están? How is everyone doing? Here in Cacahoatán, a member, Hermano Marvin, has been teaching my compañera and me more about the history of the Book of Mormon, and let me tell you, it's FASCINATING! After our discussion, he asked me how I felt, and I said, "NO TENGO PALABRAS" - "I HAVE NO WORDS." First off, he showed us a map of the Book of Mormon lands, which are in the Mesoamericas. He says Hermana Huerta and I are extremely lucky because we are literally serving in "A PROMISED LAND" mentioned in the Book of Mormon! There are a few stones here, but one we specifically focused on is the IZAPA STONE (The Tree of Life). This stone includes many pictures and symbols from the scriptures! Ahh, I wish I could sit down and explain it all to you right now! I still need to do a lot more research, though. ¡NECESITA COCA!

Hola! OK, first off - RAMBUTAN (the BEST fruit in the WORLD)!! I tried it a week ago and fell in love! Sadly, rambutan is only grown here. Sorry. I also tried papaya and mangosteen, along with many other things. Papaya is alright, and mangosteen is also really good! They grow on so many trees! With that said, gullible Hermana Boden was trying to get some rambutan off a random tree (jumping as high as I could) when a lady spotted us! I was like, "oh no," because it could have been her tree. My companion and I looked at each other with concern... The lady said, "come here!... I have more inside." Phew. We got some fruit and were also able to give her a little lesson. So my gullibility led us to teach this lady! Pretty good! Hermana Boden also put her hair in a French braid, a pretty proud moment! (I'm not very good at hair).
