¿CUÁL ES SU HISTORIA?
Oh y’all know, just another day here in PARADISE! Literally, jajajaja!
Hermana Toledo and I received an invitation this Saturday to go through the temple with one of our friends who is leaving for her mission in two weeks, and well, if you know me, as well as my comp Toledo, we would literally do ANYTHING to go to the TEMPLE!! CLARO QUE SÍIIIIII!! Sooo we ended up changing our P-day on Monday to today so we could go to the temple with our friends today!
Yep, I was blessed to go to the TEMPLE today! I usually feel a sense of peace when I'm in the temple, but this time I felt a sense of JOY! I literally felt a burning sensation in my heart, and as I was sitting, reflecting, and watching the people surrounding me (some were crying), I got thinking. And I've actually been thinking about this a lot lately. That is how EVERYONE HAS A DIFFERENT STORY.
While being here on the mission, I've heard MANY different stories. Sadly, a lot of them are stories of difficult times in people's lives and tribulations. I'm not going to share their stories because they are personal to them, but they showed me through their efforts of going to church, to the temple, testimonies, and their trust in our Heavenly Father how truly Heavenly Father is PART of EACH of OUR STORIES, INCLUDING YOURS, AMIGOS!
Y’all don’t need to hear my ENTIRE story; it's a long one, let me tell ya, jajajaja! A little part of my long story of life was this week when I was trying to seek true happiness. Don't get me wrong, guys, I'm pretty dang happy, but something was missing. Going to the temple, HEAVENLY FATHER truly blessed me with a joy I knew I was missing—the burning sensation en el corazón! I know for a fact I will feel this joy in the celestial kingdom and when I see JESUS CHRIST again. Yep, He is definitely a huge part of my story!
Friends, what is your story? How have you seen Heavenly Father in your story of life? Really, reflect on this question. But if you're not sure, like Camille N. Johnson once said,
"INVITE CHRIST TO AUTHOR YOUR STORY."
Then she goes on...
"I testify that the Savior is ‘the author and finisher of our faith.’ Will you invite Him to be the author and finisher of your story?
He knows the beginning from the end. He was the Creator of heaven and earth. He wants us to return home to Him and our Heavenly Father. He has everything invested in us and wants us to succeed."
Every story is different, but truly when we rely on Heavenly Father to be the AUTHOR OF OUR STORY, we will look at things differently! He truly wants us to succeed in life, and by acting in His name and trusting Him, I know we will be able to have a story with A REALLY HAPPY ENDING.
Hebrews 12:2:
"LOOKING UNTO JESUS, the AUTHOR and FINISHER of our FAITH; who for the JOY that was set before him ENDURED the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the RIGHT hand of the throne of GOD."
THE END.
HALLELUJAH.
AND.
IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, AMEN.
