- ELDERES Y HERMANAS -
This one is specifically for my missionary friends, but everyone is welcome to read!
Oh! I forgot to mention—I killed a mouse the other day that was in the house! We got a video, and I’ll try to put it in Google Photos next week.
Welp, this week with the Trio Poderoso, we witnessed a ton of miracles, not gonna lie! We had friends come to church, friends progressing, support from the members, and really so much more. Gotta love the work!
But really, my missionary friends, I think we can all agree that missionary work can be difficult at times. I’m gonna be real: some days it’s like you’re on top of the world, and other days you feel like jumping off a cliff. Thank you for not jumping off the cliff! I want to let you know that you’re doing great, and your acts and efforts are being acknowledged—whether you are in the mission field or not. People see your efforts, and most importantly, Heavenly Father sees your efforts. It’s hard, I get it—trust me! But you are here, at this time, and in this moment for a reason, and someone is needing you.
I want to thank you for your willingness to serve. It’s appreciated. I remember when the missionaries would visit my family, and it was such a blessing to us! Your willingness to leave everything behind and desire to serve the Lord and His children shows your bravery and your love for the Lord and this gospel. It’s not easy, but He is here for you. I know that when we let the Spirit guide us, are obedient, and keep working, we will witness blessings and miracles. And you will be someone’s blessing. You also have no idea how many angels are watching over you!
Someone I admire mucho sent me this quote a while back, and it has stuck with me since:
“When it feels like the days are hard and you feel Satan is trying to tempt you, just say, ‘Satan, stay behind me!’”
—Quote by Rawhide
Another quote, from Gordon B. Hinckley’s father when he served his mission:
“Forget yourself and get to work.”
I read the best talk this week by Russell M. Nelson, and I invite you all to read it: Missionary Memories. It changed my perspective on things immensely!
Praying for you all, mis Élderes y Hermanas!
(Pics coming to you next week!)
