MENSAGE DE MEXICO ------->

MI FAMILIAAAAAAA!!

This week, I have been learning how to cook the MEXICAN WAY, washing my clothes by hand, and how to make medicine from plants! Hermana Boden isn’t the best at cooking or washing her clothes, but she has faith, jajaajaja! Her children will be grateful someday for her efforts. We made chicken Alfredo with a family of members because they knew it’s one of my favorites from the U.S.! Love them! Mi compañera and I made spaghetti this week, and IT WAS KILERRRR (they eat a lot of spaghetti here, by the way). Goshhhhhh, I am so close to being un LATINAAAA!!

I have been learning things the Mexican way, but it is actually surprising how many people are interested in learning English or want to go to the United States! I have one friend in particular, in teaching, who is so intent on learning and has a dream to one day go to the States! It is so SPECIAL to me that she turns to us and trusts us to help her with her English and accomplish her dream! Her name is Camilla; she is 11 years old, intelligent, and so adorable! She has been learning English in school, and she asks us to help her with it. Below are some videos of us helping her (in the link).

Highlight this week: we had five new friends (we have been struggling with this) come to church with us. The members were so welcoming and loving towards them—it was great! The night before, my compañera and I wrote scriptures or inspirational messages on note cards, and the next day, at the entrance where we welcome everyone into the church, we handed each person one! It was so fun to see everyone's reactions when they opened and read their message!

With our new friends assisting us in the sacrament meeting, the happiness of everyone and their inspirational messages, and hearing everyone's strong testimonies, the room was filled with so much JOY and PEACE! I love church! I love how, no matter how my week goes, when I partake of the sacrament and visit with or listen to the messages of my friends and the members in their sacrament talks, I always feel an exceeding amount of love! Especially when I remember all that my Savior, MY MAIN INSPIRATION AND MESSENGER, and those members have done for me!

I am grateful for all the inspirational messages and answers my Savior has given me, including in my prayers, the words of the prophets, and the scriptures! You guys can receive messages from Him as well as you sincerely do these things!

Don’t worry, guys, I didn’t forget about you! I have an inspirational message for you as well. It is in Alma 26:16:

"Therefore, let us glory, yea, we will glory in the Lord; yea, we will rejoice, for our joy is full; yea, we will praise our God forever. Behold, who can glory too much in the Lord? Yea, who can say too much of his great power, and of his mercy, and of his long-suffering towards the children of men? Behold, I say unto you, I cannot say the smallest part which I feel."

Vamos and glory, rejoice, and enjoy what our Savior has in store for us this splendid week wherever you are in the world! Maybe you guys can enjoy it with my invitation for you this week! This invitation is the same as what we did at church: write one nice, inspirational message for a person on a sticky note or a letter and give it to them—maybe in person, maybe in their locker or car, whatever you desire! I promise you will make someone’s week!

I will be doing the same with my friend Camilla and writing her a sweet message of inspiration, but IN ENGLISH! I can’t wait!

Also, I want to let you guys know that I can only talk to friends for 30 minutes on P-day. Sad, I know, ja, but if you have emailed me, I apologize for not responding. I appreciate your love, and I love hearing from you guys! I will try to respond to you in a voice message on Messenger because it’s faster as well! No sé, but we will see! Nos vemos, mis amigos! Disfruta su semana de inspirational messages!

Con amor y un mensaje de México,
