- GENERACIONES -

HOLA FAMILIA! Don't worry, I didn't forget about you guys. My p-day last week was changed to Friday, and it felt random to send an email then, so here I am sending one today on my other p-day! (Two p-days in four days, ¡VAMOS!)

The people here keep comparing me to BARBIE! That statement makes me want to hit my head against a window seven times. Don't get me wrong, I like Barbie—she is beautiful, and I can be a little gullible like her at times, but I am STRONGER than Barbie! Haha, all jokes!

I’ve been going on a few runs with my compañera! AHH LOVE IT!!

BAUTISMO DE NATALIA: Natalia’s spouse is a member, and his example along with the teachings of the gospel inspired her to get baptized! Their wedding was Saturday, and the baptism was Sunday! The couple and their kids plan on getting SEALED in the temple for ETERNITY in the fall of 2025! Oh, how excited I am for them!

Natalia and her experience got me thinking... I read a talk this week by Mary N. Cook, "If You Save a Girl, You Save Generations." She talked about a painting of the Ten Virgins, by Megan N. Taylor, and explained:

"I met Megan, and she explained the symbolism of the tenth virgin, whom she described as a young woman of virtue and faith, prepared to make and keep sacred temple covenants. As with all the wise virgins, her individual preparation came as she added oil to her lamp, one drop at a time, by consistent righteous living. I noted the beautiful braid in her hair. Megan explained that the braid represented the weaving of this young woman’s virtuous life into countless generations. One strand represented the weaving of her love and respect for her ancestors, the second the weaving of her righteous influence upon her current family, and the third strand the weaving of her prepared life into the lives of generations to come."

Every drop of oil represents our efforts on the earth. Our efforts reflect on our families here and the generations to come. Our friend Natalia, who got baptized and plans on getting sealed, is not only blessing her kids and husband here on earth, but her example could bless her children’s children and many more generations to come. Which is so amazing!

The beautiful thing about being a missionary and teaching others the gospel is that we are blessed to help others come closer to Christ. And when they do, not only will they be blessed, but so will more GENERATIONS! Which is so beautiful to me!

So, keep in mind that your actions matter, not only for your reputation but also for your family’s reputation and for generations to come!

I love you all, and thank you for the prayers! They are definitely felt! Much love!!
