ME ENCANTA VER EL TEMPLE
This week I went bowling with the district for P-day! Pretty great stuff.
I felt sick on Tuesday, so we stayed at the house for half the day. Then I felt useless, so we ended up going out and teaching!
On Wednesday, we had divisions! We switched companionships for the day, and I went to Tapachula and taught with my new companion for the day, Hermana Flores! She was so sweet and very patient with me. While we were in Tapachula, I met one of Hermana Flores' friends who is going to get baptized soon, Jenny! OK, Jenny is unforgettable! She has one of those personalities that I love—smiling all the time, gets along with everyone, and has a contagious laugh! She made me laugh so hard, and I barely even knew everything she was saying! I needed that laugh. I can't wait to tell her someday how much I appreciated her and the good laugh! Mi siempre amiga!
We also went to the Tuxtla TEMPLE! B E A U T I F U L! It was an 8-hour drive to get there by bus, so we stayed the night in the mission home the day before, went into the temple with the ward that morning, and drove 8 hours back to Cacahoatán afterwards! Amazing experience!
I also gave my first talk in church (en español). I read all of my talk, but I smiled a lot! It’s going to be cool when I can give a talk in Spanish without reading it. Really looking forward to that day! I bet you couldn’t guess my topic: TEMPLES - TEMPLOS!
Here’s a killer scripture about temples that I shared in my talk—D&C 97:15-16:
"Inasmuch as my people build a house unto me in the name of the Lord, and do not suffer any unclean thing to come into it, that it be not defiled, my glory shall rest upon it; Yea, and my presence shall be there, for I will come into it, and all the pure in heart that shall come into it shall see God."
I know the temple is a place where we can feel the Savior’s love and peace!
Have a great week, everyone, and please keep sending pictures! Te amo con todo mi corazón!
