¡HACIA NUEVAS AVENTURAS!

¿Que pasa, fam?

I said goodbye to many amigos at the CCM. Not gonna lie, that was hard, but I have faith I will see them each again! They have no idea the impact they had on me—my lifelong amigos. They are going to bless lives just like they blessed mine. Well, I left for Tuxtla on Wednesday and traveled with my Tuxtla amigas to the mission home, where we stayed the night! Quite the adventure, haha. Then I met my new compañera, Hermana Huerta—woot woot! She is both helpful and patient, which is exactly what I was praying for. We then traveled 7 hours by bus to Tapachula! Guys, it is beautiful here! When you say GREEN, Tapachula pops up, haha!

Pretty great week here! I taught some lessons in Español, bore my testimony a lot (the gift of tongues is real, by the way), and met some cool people (the members are extremely welcoming)! I feel my Spanish is coming along, but I really struggle with understanding what people are saying to me. Even back home, I struggled to listen to people in English, haha! But I’m willing to keep working and speaking, so I can communicate with all my amigos here!

Also, a member told me they haven’t had an American girl missionary in this area for 5 years, which makes sense, haha. But thankfully, I learned some boxing skills (only if needed) from Elder Mahe from my district at the CCM!

Also, I didn’t know this, but we ate lunch at one of the member's houses, and her daughter (so cute, by the way) was asking me English words and vice-versa. My compañera said we can teach a group of kids English this week, so I’m looking forward to that! I didn’t know we could do that as missionaries!

Scripture of the week - 2 Corinthians 4:18:

"While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal."
