TÍA A CUATRO!!

Buenos días!

Another great week in the life of Hermana Boden! A lot has happened, so WARNING: this is going to be a long email. If you don’t read long emails like me, DON’T BOTHER.

Matching skirts, aka "Tienda Tuesday!" Lots of hermanas here buy bright skirts at the tienda (store) and wear them on Tuesday! (Took lots of pics, go ahead and take a look in my Google Photos if you dare, haha.) I also went to my favorite place today, the TEMPLE! Next, we said goodbye to some of our favorite Latinos who would play volleyball with us. I started calling one of them "MVP" while we played volleyball because he was great. One of the last things he said to us before we said goodbye was, "When I come to America and see you play volleyball, I will see YOU are the MVP." Ah, I'm going to miss my Latinos!

More about the MTC: the food here and I have a love-hate relationship. Let’s just say the restrooms and I have become quite acquainted, haha! Great news though, because I don’t have to worry about gaining weight—at least for a month while I’m here at the Mexico MTC. We’ll see about the tacos in Tuxtla though, haha! Your girl, Hermana Boden, loves herself some Mexican food! Oh, also, I am really grateful because they have a weight room, a gym, pickleball courts, and other active stuff, so I am EXTREMELY HAPPY!! I would go crazy if I couldn’t work out. My companion is nice enough to do core exercises with me too! Gracias, compañera!

Ok, if you haven’t heard already or read the title, I have a NEW LITTLE NIECE, and she is BEAUTIFUL! (Auntie of four!!) Shoutout to Keely and Spence! Anyway, Hermana Boden doesn’t get homesick. I love my family and I probably should be homesick, but I’m not (no need to worry about me, haha!). But if I were to name one thing that I will miss, it’s not getting to see my three nieces and my nephew as they grow up. I know a year and a half is not that long, but kids change and grow up so fast! Like starting to walk, talk, smile, laugh, etc. Heck, I wouldn’t see them for one month and they’ve already grown a few inches, it feels like! The other day, a group of hermanas and elders (another shoutout to Elder Terry from Rupert, Idaho, leaving tonight for Chile, good luck!) sang a children’s song during sacrament, specifically "I Hope They Call Me on a Mission" and "We’ll Bring the World His Truth (Army of Helaman)." Yup, I started thinking about my little nephew and nieces and got teary-eyed. Plus, I had to say the closing prayer in español after the song. The Spirit was strong! Children’s music gets me every time. If you can’t tell, I care about my nieces and nephew, haha. Kids are so precious and pure; everyone knows that! The amount we love and care for them, God loves them—and you—even more! Nothing compares to God’s love, and that is one of the major things I’ve learned while being here.

"God’s love is infinite."

I’ve learned a few other things while being here. Some girls have been trying to teach me how to sing alto, which I have always wanted to learn. Also, Elder Mahe (from Australia) has been teaching me boxing. Pretty dope. He told me in his accent, "If you were a boxer, you would be scary. You look strong." (Compliment of the year!) I’ve also been trying to speak in his Australian accent, and everyone says I sound like a "British schoolgirl." (I blame you, Raft River basketball girls team!) Haha, love you guys.

Take care, everyone!
