Random thought of the week: I haven't driven a car in 4 months and won't for another 14 months! Loco! I hope my car is doing well. Jed used it this week, so I'm a little worried! He and I made a lot of memories together in college! He listened to my friends and me sing A LOT!! Also, I tried IGUANA!!! Interesting, that's for sure! The texture of the skin grossed me out, but the meat itself tasted like chicken! We had a BAPTISM FOR SCARLETT RENATA this week! Her 8th birthday and baptism were on the same day! Her mom and grandma are members, and they wanted us to teach her about the gospel, so we did! Scarlett reminds me a lot of myself before my baptism because I remember my grandma trying to teach me about its importance, and I was not really willing to listen. I now appreciate her and her patience. Gracias, mi abuelita! The same was true for Renata, but we promised her we would make some games about the lessons, and then she was more content! Great baptism! Ok, this wee...

MI FAMILIA! I had quite the week, hermanos! We had zone conference, a ward talent show (I have a video of the decorations and fun), and it was MEXICO'S INDEPENDENCE DAY YESTERDAY! Also, I think I'm getting used to the spice here because I used to hate the Mexican candy, chile, and stuff in my food, but now I'M IN LOVE! Hermana Huerta (mi compañera) has been doing all she can to make me a TRUE LATINA, and well folks, I think I am getting there! VIVA MEXICO! Like I said, we had our mission zone conference this week! We had a meeting, a piñata, and games! It was so fun! I also had my interview with the President. In my meeting with him, I told him, "I need to work on my CONFIDENCE." He asked me, "What do you think confidence means?" I reflected on this, and he later had me share my testimony in front of EVERYONE! (Yikes! I shouldn’t have said what I said in the meeting!) Just kidding, it was exactly what I needed! I took a leap of faith and relied on the Sp...

BUENOS DÍAS, WORLD! I am going to make this one fast because I don't have much time today, lo siento! Yesterday was the prophet's 100th BIRTHDAY!! UMM, WHAT?! I love our living prophet today, Russell M. Nelson! You can tell he touches every heart just by looking and smiling at them. I am so grateful for our prophet today, all our past prophets, and all the revelation they have received to help us, along with all their sacrifice, love, and care for us! An inspirational quote from Russell M. Nelson is this: "Yes, we should learn from the past, and yes, we should prepare for the future. But only now can we do. Now is the time we can learn. Now is the time we can repent. Now is the time we can bless others and 'lift up the hands which hang down.' As Mormon counseled his son Moroni, 'Let us labor diligently; … for we have a labor to perform [while] in this tabernacle of clay, that we may conquer the enemy of all righteousness, and rest our souls in the kingdom of Go...
